Today's books were bought at a used bookshop in Concord, Massachusetts. From 1872, "Concord Days" by A. Bronson Alcott, and "Work" by his daughter, Louisa May Alcott, 1873. The first title belonged to a library and had the bookplates removed. The library now has an electronic copy of the book, but I will contact them to see if they want their copy back. (There is a library seal on the paper.) The second book, is all mine!
Update: I heard from the library director today (3/14) that the electronic copy of "Concord Days" is filling patrons' needs, so I can keep the original copy.
