Today's book is a collection of poems, called "Lies," the first printing in 1969 of the second book by C.K. Williams. It is inscribed to the collector's daughter. Because I haven't seen his first book, I'm not sure yet if this is the first collection of poetry, or the second. I've seen reports that the first publication in question was a single poem, which would make "Lies" his first published collection. That being said, it is written on the book blurb that it is a first collection of poems.
